this windows box jumps the cursor
or displays popups even as you try
to type along normally. you have
to stop in the middle of a god-damn
word to mouse around and click
just to finish a thought and it's
maddening.

i was going to start with the way
my phone makes useless noises
at the worst possible times
and makes you listen to messages
from weeks ago supposedly deleted
at full length before getting
you to the real message which
should have actually been a
fucking phone call if the damn
thing could be bothered to ring.
and runs down its own battery
trying to find a signal when
you go in the wrong fucking room.
and buzzes in the middle of the night
just to mess with you.

but this other thing is actually
much worse even than a sleepless
night and a poisoned god-damn mood.

this is not incompetence. this is malice.
america i beg of you. stop pretending
this shit works.
